Ranger has helped look after them since their birth. Tragedy strikes when their little family is separated by Ranger’s evil owner, Gar Face. Puck and Sabine defy all odds and find a way to save their beloved Ranger. Appelt’s plot leads the protagonists on a quest to defeat Gar Face, while facing dangerous obstacles.
